IRADIS is developing a low-cost A340 flight simulator.

The International Research and Development Institute for Simulation (IRADIS) is developing a low-cost multi purpose Airbus A340 simulator in cooperation with the Cosmicus foundation. The simulator is being built by sponsoring of the Dutch Ministry of Education and is going to used for motivating gifted children. Although the simulator is being built for children, the degree of realism is very high, what makes the simulator also suitable for use as a low-cost research simulator.

Because of the standard policy of IRADIS for stimulating (international) cooperation, the project is fully opensource for anyone who likes to participate. The project is Multi platform based. Documentation and software will be available for download on the website.
